NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette
Hello my lovelies, it has been a while since I have posted a blog post here. In this post I am doing a review on the NYX HIGHLIGHT AND CONTOUR PRO PALETTE
Youtube has created a hype about contouring and highlighting and I really like this trend but I am not really ready to give a lot money on the high end palettes like the ABH and Kat Von D one, so when I saw this one from NYX, it really catched my eye and I wanted to give it a try.
PACKAGING
The palette comes in a paper kind of box. On the back of the box are instructions on how to use this palette. The packaging of the palette itself is not high end and luxurious. It is made of plastic that is really thin and I hope it wont fall on the floor because I don't know if it would survive. The palette contains 8 colors; 4 highlight- and 4 contour shades. The pans are refillable which I think is really nice because when you fewel like it, you can design your palette as your heart desires.
COLORS
As mentioned before, the palette contains 8 refillable shades.
Highlight shades: Ice Queen - pearly toned shimmery highlighter
Soft Light - nude-rose toned matte powder
Cream - yellow banana matte powder
Nectar - peach toned shimmery highlighter
Contour shades: Tan - soft brown with red undertones and a satin finish
Toffee - warm neutral brown and satinfinish
Sculpt - taupe brown with gray undertones
Hollow - deep matte brown
PIGMENTATION
One of the best features of this palette is its pigmentation. A tiny bit of product goes a long way. You have to be light handed with this product because you can easily go overboard. The colors have a little bit of fallout but it doesn't really bother me. All of the shades show up on the skin super well.
TEXTURE
Six shades are matte and two have a shimmery finish. The Toffee contour shade has some sheen that is only visisble in the palette but it doesn't show up on your skin. The consistensy of the product is incredibly smooth and soft, which is probably why it is easy to pick up the product, it is so finely milled.
The powders are really long lasting on your skin, even without a primer or a setting spray.
All in all, I consider that this drugstore product does what it promises. If you're new to highlighting and contouring, I would definitely recommend this palette.
I hope you liked this review and thank you for reading adn visiting my blog xx
